6/27 Are Cubs buyers or sellers? (via Muskat Ramblings)
You can tell the players don’t want to talk about any possible rumors that may be out there regarding the team dumping payroll like they did at the end of last year. The year is almost a done deal but no one is going to admit anything at this stage.
It’s true the Cubs have had a lot of players on the DL but they are not alone. Maybe when the team gets healthy we can see better baseball out of them. But until then, well it has not been pretty.
The trade deadline is July 31 but it was a topic posed to some Cubs players after Monday’s 7-3 win over the Rockies.
